A century of tradition
Over a 100 years ago, Mr. Cecilio Lindo came to Costa Rica and purchased several farms located between the Irazu and Turrialba Volcanoes. This area, known for its excellent sugar cane and coffee production was consolidated into The Juan Viñas Sugar and Coffee Estates. In 1945, a group Costa Rican investors led by Don Manuel Jimenez de la Guardia, acquired the farm and founded Hacienda Juan Viñas S.A. They built a tradition of growing and processing coffee, sugar cane and macadamia nuts of the highest quality.
